In a Burst of Light

I reached out into the blackness,
felt your hand, as it closed over mine.
Warming mine, as the heat surround me,
felt the darkness as it began to fade.

Your touch, so soothing,
each caress, carrying me further away
from the darkness, and into the light
that I felt shinning through your eyes.

Your hand, lifting mine slowly
to brush against your face, your cheek, your lips.
Feeling the softness of your breath,
against the back of my hand.

As you slowly pulled me closer,
into an entwining embrace.
Until we couldn't tell where one started
and the other one ended.

Just holding each other, the feelings running deeper
as I felt your heart pressing against mine.
Until suddenly we felt it, the passion, the tenderness,
the heat of that first kiss, surrounding us in a burst of light.
