Caught Between Heaven

I walk carefully through the mist,
expectations high.
Knowing you are out there
And, this time, will not pass me by.

The wood, it moves around me
life frozen, captured by time.
Just outside my vision,
but still within my reach.

Stepping out, from amongst the shadows,
Into a gathering of trees.
I see you up ahead of me,
Watching, quietly in the breeze.

I reach out to you,
touching you with my eyes.
My thoughts surrounding you
Souls burrowing, deep within.

Savoring every moment,
Something, neither, leaves unspent.
Moving closer, still
Until circling, through, and within the other.

The world can be forgotten,
The moment, your's and mine.
As if alone, a top a mountain,
A peace among the trees.

Forgotten are the shadows,
Letting go reserves we built.
Lost in the ecstasy of being,
Within the realms, from which we hide.

Finally, flinging aside,
our strange existance.
Where we hide, behind the walls,
Seperated, a means by which to survive.

Breathing deeply, the essence,
of one another.
Filling each other, in the moment,
What our hearts demand, of one another.

Knowing it's just, a moment,
But held tight, our own forever.
Where night, becomes day,
awashed by moonbeams, splashes of star light.

Our moment, our life,
your's and mine, alone, to share.
Knowing, it has to last,
before we can build forever, and a day.

Reaching out,
into the heavens.
An understanding, all our own,
forgotten yesterdays, captured tomorrows.

Holding tight, a precious second,
Our one today, our life.
A minute, the briefest hour,
held, unrelinquished, within our grasp.

The words, remain unspoken,
the echoes of our tomorrows.
Lying still, hearts pounding,
caught between heaven, among the trees.
