What Got Me Started in Domain Hosting Services?

I have been doing web design for the past couple of years, and have been rather disappointed in the services, tech. support and features offered by the various hosting sites for my domains as well as for the domains of my clients.

About a year ago, I found a hosting site that offers full featured Support and Services that are able to handle all of my hosting needs and those of my clients.

They have been an established business since 1983, and providing reliable hosting services for the past 3 years.

Since then, I have been building my own personal business from this.

What I found to be the best feature, for my computer and web design business, that I have had since 1987, was that I could resell all of these services to my clients, at a fraction of the costs, to myself, as well as being able to pass on the savings to my clients.

For example, a hosting site that would easily cost between $100-$200 with another hosting site, I could purchase for the discounted price of $15 and then resell at my own price.

Additional features, ie pop accounts, additional ftp/telnet accesses, majordomo listservers, etc. are not billed as additional monthly charges but rather as one time fees as low as $10-20.

Additional 50 megs of space would only be $15, not $25-$50.

Standard features of the GOLD Server offer a FTP/Telnet connection, secure servers, RealAudio, (RealVideo option available), Perl, Java and cgi-bin with variety of scripts & shopping cart, Pop Email Account, Unlimited Email Aliases, Unlimited Infobot/Autoresponders, 50 meg of web space, and so much more ... come standard with each server.

For those who need less space, try the SILVER Server or for more space either add an additional 50 megs for just $15, or look into the PLATINUM Servers.

Also, the added benefit of being able to Resell space on your own domain is encouraged, as well.

Since I moved my domains, I have enjoyed faster web sites hosted through T3 lines, only a 30% maximum load on the physical servers and not the frustrating slowness that the dialup access/domain hosting combination will result in.

I can either sell these hosting services at the standard rates of the hosting site and earn a 25% residual monthly commission, or, purchase them at $15 and bill my clients at my own rates.

I have over a dozen personal domains, and am saving hundreds a month in hosting costs, covering the cost of these domains and making a nice profit each month.

I am starting a new web design project that will be bringing 50+ domains online. Will I be spending $50 or $100 or $200 per domain? No! As a Reseller and previous buyer of a GOLD Server, I can now purchase these at just $15 per domain. This will save me 1000s a month in hosting costs alone. Plus, I will have fast, reliable and dependable servers and 24 hours a day, 7 days a week technical support.
